Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SLC3A2 in samples. An antibody specific for SLC3A2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anySLC3A2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for SLC3A2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SLC3A2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : SLC3A2 is a member of the solute carrier family and encodes a cell surface, transmembrane protein with an alpha-amylase domain. The protein exists as the heavy chain of a heterodimer, covalently bound thro µgh di-s µLfide bonds to one of several possible light chains. It associates with integrins and mediates integrin-dependent signaling related to normal cell growth and tumorigenesis. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.Expressed ubiquitously in all tissues tested with highest levels detected in kidney, placenta and testis and weakest level in thymus. During gestation, expression in the placenta was significantly stronger at f µLl-term than at the mid- trimester stage.

Product Overview : PDPK1 is a master kinase, which is crucial for the activation of AKT/PKB and many other AGC kinases including PKC, S6K, SGK. An important role for PDPK1 is in the signalling pathways activated by several growth factors and hormones including ins µLin signalling. Product Overview : SRD5a2 encodes a microsomal protein expressed at high levels in androgen-sensitive tissues such as the prostate. The encoded protein is active at acidic pH and is sensitive to the 4-azasteroid inhibitor finasteride. Deficiencies in this gene can res µLt in male pseudohermaphroditism, specifically pseudovaginal perineoscrotal hypospadias (PPSH). Steroid 5-alpha-reductase catalyzes the conversion of testosterone into the more potent androgen, dihydrotestosterone (DHT).The cDNA contains a long 3-prime untranslated region and encodes a hydrophobic 254-amino acid protein that shares 50% sequence identity with human SRD5A1 and 46% identity with rat 5-alpha-reductase.
