Product Overview : Prolyl endopeptidase (PE) also known as prolyl oligopeptidase or post-proline cleaving enzyme is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PREP gene.Prolyl endopeptidase is a large cytosolic enzyme that belongs to a distinct class of serine peptidases. It was first described in the cytosol of rabbit brain as an oligopeptidase, which degrades the nonapeptide bradykinin at the Pro-Phe bond.[5] The enzyme is involved in the maturation and degradation of peptide hormones and neuropeptides such as alpha-melanocyte-stim µLating hormone, luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RH), thyrotropin-releasing hormone, angiotensin, neurotensin, oxytocin, substance P and vasopressin. PREP cleaves peptide bonds at the C-terminal side of proline residues. Its activity is confined to action on oligopeptides of less than 10 kD and it has an absolute requirement for the trans-configuration of the peptide bond preceding proline. Prolyl endopeptidases are involved in the maturation and degradation of peptide hormones and neuropeptides.

Product Overview : PREPL belongs to the prolyl oligopeptidase subfamily of serine peptidases. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hypotonia-cystinuria syndrome, also known as the 2p21 deletion syndrome. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding either the same or different isoforms have been described for this gene. The longest deduced protein contains 727 amino acids and has a propeller domain in its N-terminal half and a catalytic domain, including the catalytic triad (ser, asp, his) essential for serine peptidases, in its C-terminal half. In sharp contrast to PREP and oligopeptidase B, which require both amino- and carboxy-terminal sequences for activity, PREPL activity appeared to depend only on the carboxy-terminal domain.

Product Overview : The prolactin receptor—encoded by a gene on Chromosome 5p13-14—interacts with the prolactin molec µLe as a transmembrane receptor.The 5-prime-untranslated region of the PRLR gene contains 2 alternative first exons : E13, the human counterpart of the rat and mouse E13, and a novel human type of alternative first exon termed E1N. The 5-prime-untranslated region also contains a common noncoding exon 2 and part of exon 3, which contains the translation initiation codon. The E13 and E1N exons are within 800 basepairs of each other. These 2 exons are expressed in human breast tissue, breast cancer cells, gonads, and liver. Product Overview : Prokineticins are secreted proteins that can promote angiogenesis and induce strong gastrointestinal smooth muscle contraction. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and G protein-coupled receptor for prokineticins. The encoded protein is similar in sequence to GPR73, another G protein-coupled receptor for prokineticins. Lin et al. (2002) cloned human GPR73L1 (PROKR2) by PCR of a pooled testis and fetal brain cDNA library. They also cloned GPR73 (PROKR1), which shares 85% overall sequence identity with GPR73L1. The greatest divergence between the proteins is in the N terminus, and both share about 80% sequence identity with mouse Gpr73. Product Overview : The prokineticin receptor is a G-protein coupled receptor which binds the peptide hormone prokineticin. These receptors mediate gastrointestinal smooth muscle contraction and angiogenesis. There are two variants each encoded by a different gene. Prokineticin receptor 1 (also known as PKR1 or GPR73A), is encoded by the PROKR1 gene. GPR73A is a receptor for prokineticin 1. It is a member of the GPCR family and is coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Activation of the receptor leads to mobilization of calcium, stim µLation of phosphoinositide turnover and activation of p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase. GPR73A expression has been reported in adrenal, peripheral blood leukocytes, brain, colon, pancreas, prostate, rectum, salivary gland, small intestine, spleen, stomach, testis, and thyroid.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calc µLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).
