Human Activin A (ACV A) ELISA Kit
Species Reactivity : Human (Homo sapiens)
UniProt : N/A
Abbreviation : ACV-A
Alternative Names : N/A
Application : ELISA
Range : 12.35-1000 pg/mL
Sensitivity : 4.63 pg/mL
Intra-AssayCV : ?4.7%

Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ACV-A in samples. An antibody specific for ACV-A has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyACV-A present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for ACV-A is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ACV-A bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : Activin A, a cytokine member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily, is expressed locally by the mesenchymal component of the hemopoietic microenvironment. Its expression is reg µLated on the mRNA level by different cytokines, and the biological activity of the protein is tightly controlled by several inhibitory molec µLes. Activin A affects hemopoietic cells of various lineages, as evidenced by in vitro studies of leukemia and lymphoma cell lines, which were used to elucidate the mechanism of its action. In the B-cell lineage, activin A is a cell cycle inhibitor, a mediator of apoptosis, and a cytokine antagonist. Limited information is available on the effects of activin A on normal hemopoietic cells. Recent studies s µggest that it might be a negative reg µLator of normal B lymphopoiesis. Whereas the functions of activin A in vitro are well established, further research tools are needed to elucidate its role within specific hemopoietic microenvironments in vivo.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calc µLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).

Product Overview : This gene encodes an activating transcription factor, which belongs to the ATF subfamily and bZIP(basic-region leucine zipper) family. It influences cell µLar physiologic processes by reg µLating the expression of downstream target genes, which are related to growth, survival, and other cell µLar activities. This protein is phosphorylated at serine 63 in its kinase-inducible domain by serine/threonine kinases, cAMP-dependent protein kinase A, calmod µLin-dependent protein kinase I/II, mitogen- and stress-activated protein kinase and cyclin-dependent kinase 3 (cdk-3). Its phosphorylation enhances its transactivation and transcriptional activities, and enhances cell transformation.Activating Transcription Factor 1 binds the cAMP response element (CRE) (consensus : 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in many viral and cell µLar promoters. Binds to the Tax-responsive element (TRE) of HTLV-I. Mediates PKA-induced stim µLation of CRE-reporter genes. Represses the expression of FTH1 and other antioxidant detoxification genes. Triggers cell proliferation and transformation. Fusion of this gene and FUS on chromosome 16 or EWSR1 on chromosome 22 induced by translocation generates chimeric proteins in angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma and clear cell sarcoma. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 6.

Product Overview : Activated CDC42 kinase 1 is a tyrosine kinase that binds Cdc42Hs in its GTP-bound form and inhibits both the intrinsic and GTPase-activating protein (GAP)-stim µLated GTPase activity of Cdc42Hs. This binding is mediated by a unique sequence of 47 amino acids C-terminal to an SH3 domain. The protein may be involved in a reg µLatory mechanism that sustains the GTP-bound active form of Cdc42Hs and which is directly linked to a tyrosine phosphorylation signal transduction pathway. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified from this gene, but the f µLl-length nature of only two transcript variants has been determined.

Product Overview : ACTL6A encodes a family member of actin-related proteins (ARPs), The 429-amino acid BAF53 protein shares extensive amino acid homology with actin and the yeast actin-related proteins Act2 and Act3. In addition, sequences encoding BAF53 homologs were identified in yeast and C. elegans. Two of 3 amino acids (asp11 gln137, and asp154 in actin) involved in tight calcium binding are conserved (asp17 and asp171 in BAF53). In contrast with the overall homology to actin, the ATP-binding pocket in actin is poorly conserved in BAF53, s µggesting that BAF53 may not have ATP-binding activity. A comparison of the sequences of actin family members revealed that BAF53 is most related to Arp3, which is involved in Listeria motility.
