Background : Reg µLates CDK7, the catalytic subunit of the CDK-activating kinase (CAK) enzymatic complex. CAK activates the cyclin-associated kinases CDK1 CDK2, CDK4 and CDK6 by threonine phosphorylation. Background : Reg µLatory component of the cyclin D2-CDK4 (DC) complex that phosphorylates and inhibits members of the retinoblastoma (RB) protein family including RB1 and reg µLates the cell-cycle during G(1)/S transition.
