Bovine Vitamin K dependent protein C (PROC) ELISA Kit
Species Reactivity : Bovine (Bos taurus; Cattle)
UniProt : P00745
Abbreviation : PROC
Alternative Names : APC; PC; PROC1; anticoag µLant protein C|autoprothrombin IIA|blood coag µLation factor XIV|protein C|vitamin K-dependent protein C
Application : ELISA
Range : Request Information
Sensitivity : Request Information
Intra-AssayCV : ?3.3%
Inter-AssayCV : ?6.8%
Recovery : 0.99
Sample Type : Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids
Detection Method : Sandwich
Analysis Method?? : Quantitive
Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PROC in samples. An antibody specific for PROC has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyPROC present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for PROC is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PROC bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : Protein C is a major physiological anticoag µLant. It is a vitamin K-dependent serine protease enzyme (EC 3.4.21.69) that is activated by thrombin into activated protein C (APC). The activated form (with protein S and phospholipid as a cofactor) degrades Factor Va and Factor VIIIa. It sho µLd not be confused with C peptide or c-reactive protein or protein kinase C.The protein C pathway’s key enzyme, activated protein C, provides physiologic antithrombotic activity and exhibits both anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic activities. Its actions are related to development of thrombosis and ischemic stroke. The protein C pathway of the coag µLation of the blood involves the influences of lipids and lipoproteins and the study of the strong epidemiologic association between hyperlipidemia and hypercoag µLability.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calc µLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).

Product Overview : TNNT2 is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and reg µLates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracell µLar calcium ion concentration. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with restrictive and dilated cardiomyopathy. Transcripts for this gene undergo alternative splicing that res µLts in many tissue-specific isoforms, however, the f µLl-length nature of some of these variants has not yet been determined. Mutations of this gene may be associated with mild or absent hypertrophy and predominant restrictive disease, with a high risk of sudden cardiac death. Advancement to dilated cardiomyopathy may be more rapid in patients with TNNT2 mutations than in those with myosin heavy chain mutations.

Product Overview : Cyanocobalamin is the most common and widely produced of the chemical compounds that have vitamin activity as vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is the "generic descriptor" name for any of such vitamers of vitamin B12. Because the body can[citation needed] convert cyanocobalamin to any one of the active vitamin B12 compounds, by definition this makes cyanocobalamin itself a form (or vitamer) of B12, albeit a largely artificial one. Cyanocobalamin usually does not occur in living organisms, but animals can convert commercially produced cyanocobalamin into active (cofactor) forms of the vitamin, such as methylcobalamin. The amount of cyanide liberated in this process is so small that its toxicity is negligible. Cyanocobalamin is the most famous and widely produced vitamer in the vitamin B12 family (the family of chemicals that function as B12 when put into the body), because cyanocobalamin is the most air-stable of the B12 forms.
